WASHINGTON, April 20 (Reuters) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen instructed her counterpart from Indonesia that there will be no “business-as-usual” for Russia in the global economic climate supplied its invasion of Ukraine, the Treasury Office mentioned in a statement on Wednesday.
Yellen told Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati through a meeting on Tuesday that the United States will proceed to function with Indonesia, which presently sales opportunities the Team of 20 major economies, to advance G20 small business.
“Secretary Yellen firmly condemned Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, and emphasised there will be no organization-as-regular for Russia in the global economic climate,” Treasury said. “Secretary Yellen emphasized that the United States will continue on to function in solidarity with Indonesia to advance the important enterprise of the G20, together with addressing the detrimental impacts of Russia’s invasion on the international economic system.”
