When a manufacturer is prosperous, there is typically a motivation to prolong it.

Disneyland was an extension of Disney videos. It mirrored some of the magic of the films, but established a little something new and precious as perfectly. Disneyland had some of the Disney essence and then crafted some thing additive and new.

Apple did the same detail with the Apple iphone in extending the brand of the Mac.

On the other hand, the new Leica enjoy is basically a souvenir. It’s not a superior enjoy. It’s not far more of a Leica than any of a dozen other overpriced watches could be observed to be. It’s simply there to remind you that you favored the authentic. It is a souvenir of a sensation, not the creator.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a souvenir. I’m certain Leica will make a revenue from their view with tiny harm to the assure that the brand itself will make. But make as well numerous souvenirs and you become a hollow shell, losing the chance to make the transform you seek.

The crappy t-shirt you acquired at your preferred musician’s live performance is a souvenir, but they should not rely on that as their legacy or the engine of their progress.
